11:11 MediaWorks Launched by VFX Veteran Roger NallSpecializing in VFX design and custom motion graphics
Nalls recent credits as a digital artist include work on Planet of the Apes, Swordfish, the upcoming Jet Li film The One, and the upcoming Arnold Swarzenegger film, Collateral Damage. He also served as VFX Supervisor on the CBS TV mini-series An American Tragedy.
11:11 MediaWorks (with 11:11 referring to a ?lucky time on the clock,) offers its clients state-of-the-art hardware and software for projects ranging from network television at D1/DV or HDTV delivery, to feature films at 2K or higher resolution.
The new company will specialize in three primary areas: visual effects design and production, (including on-set supervision, plate photography including blue/greenscreen shoots, and motion control), digital post-production ?repairs (including wire and rig removal, monitor burn-ins, muzzle flashes, screen replacements, film restoration, color correction, and scratch removal), and the creation of custom motion graphics and design services, (including graphics for faux news broadcasts, technical screens, and interactive displays).
Prior to launching 11:11 MediaWorks, Nall was partner/operator of SOTA Digital, a unit of SOTA F/X in Van Nuys, that he founded in l998 as an entirely Mac-based visual effects house. SOTA Digital contributed effects work to a broad range of projects, including feature films, TV shows, and video/computer games. For the past three years, Nall worked as Visual Effects Supervisor for various SOTA Digital projects. In that role, he was actively involved with effects for feature films including Out of the Black, G-Men from Hell, Blessed Art Thou, The Crow: Salvation, The Debtor$, and Tequila Body Shots, and for television projects including American Tragedy, Elviras Haunted Hills, and UPNs Dreamhouse. In addition to his position with SOTA, Nall has also worked independently as a Digital Artist, where he was involved with visual effects work for Planet of the Apes, Swordfish, Exit Wounds, On the Line, The One, and Collateral Damage, and the recently restored Bus Stop, to name a few.
For 10 years (1988-1998,) Nall worked as a freelance artist, writer, director, production designer and props specialist for feature film and television projects. These include work as a scenic artist for Darkman, Twin Peaks, Shattered, and HBOs And The Band Played On; as a production designer for Grid Runners, Brilliant Disguise, and Extreme; as an animatronics designer/motion control artist for the Star Control III CD-ROM game, and as writer/director for Hard Time, Truth of the Heart, The Howling VII, Scenes from the Apocalypse, and Dark Goddess.
From 1983-88, Nall was the lighting designer/ master electrician and theatrical designer for the Dallas Theater Center, where he was involved with the production of dozens of plays and shows. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University and the American Film Institutes Center for Advanced Film and Television Studies. Recently, he was asked to teach custom seminars in Adobe After Effects for the multimedia department of Lippincott/Raven, the worlds largest medical publishing firm.
