Genesis Electronics Sales of Solar iPhone Charger at AT&T Store Shows Positive Consumer Acceptance(February 24, 2011)
HOLLYWOOD, FL--(02/02/11) - Genesis Electronics Group, Inc. (OTC.BB:GEGI - News), www.genesiselectronicsgroup.com, reports that initial consumer reaction to the G-1500™ has been very positive. As reported earlier, the company has commenced traditional brick-and-mortar marketing of its Solar Powered Charger designed for the iPhone 4 at an AT&T retail location in New York State. The store is located in Monticello and is retailing the G-1500™ for $79.99. Within the first few days, approximately 25% of the inventory was sold out.
"The consumer response to the G-1500™ is very promising," said Ed Dillon, CEO of Genesis Electronics Group. "All of our research indicates that a strong demand is there for a reliable dual-function charger for the iPhone 4. The fact that our G-1500™ also provides some protection to the phone is also a big benefit that definitely appeals to consumers. Marketing the G-1500™ in physical locations that sell iPhones and cater to tech-savvy smartphone users is a well-conceived strategy that is proving successful."
Raymond F. Purdon, Genesis' Chairman, added, "Our feedback regarding sales of the G-1500™ is very exciting and serves to clearly support our marketing plans. This applies not only to the G-1500™ and other solar-powered chargers for smartphones that Genesis will introduce, but also indicates consumer interest and acceptance of solar-powered accessories for a variety of hand-held and portable electronic devices. Our company positioning, supported by significant patent holdings and licensing for solar powered sources, is proving to be correctly targeted."
