David Nagel Epson has launched six new scanners in its line of Perfection flatbeds. Included in the lineup are three Perfection 1640SU models, each with 42-bit color and 1,600 x 3,200 DPI hardware resolutions. They start at $299. There are three configurations in the 1640SU line:
The new lineup also includes two scanners falling under the 1240U banner. They also offer 42-bit color, but with resolutions of 1,200 x 2,400 DPI. These include:
Epson will also be shipping a lower-end model, the 640U, which offers 36-bit color at 600 x 2,400 DPI for $149. It's expected to be available in November as well.
