Altamira Brings Genuine Fractals to Quark
PagePro XT adds editability to resolution-independent images from within Quark

Altamira this week announced Genuine Fractals PagePro XT, an Xtension for QuarkXPress. Altamira's PagePro XT allows designers to place, crop and resize Genuine Fractals images within QuarkXPress layouts.

According to Altamira, PagePro XT allows users to work with smaller images (in Genuine Fractals format), which can be scaled to larger sizes while maintaining the sharpness of the image. It also allows for editing these images directly from within Quark.

PagePro XT requires a Macintosh running OS 8.0 or higher and QuarkXPress 3.32 or higher. (There is no Windows version.) To save images in Genuine Fractals format (a resolution-independent format), users will need PrintPro and Adobe Photoshop 3.0.4 or higher. PrintPro is available now for $299. (See our review here.)
