David Nagel Viking Components has released a new line of PC Cards for Kodak DCS cameras. Viking is now shipping Kodak Professional DCS-compatible Type II PC Cards in capacities ranging from 1 GB down to 16 MB. Each Kodak Professional DCS digital camera model has two PC Card slots, enabling a maximum digital image storage capacity of 2 GB when using the Viking 1 GB Type II PC Card. Configurations include 448 MB, 512 MB, 640 MB, 768 MB and 1 GB. Prices range from $2,500 for the 1 GB card to $1,499 for the 512 MB card. Viking ATA flash cards include 128 Mbit NAND flash memory and an ATA controller chip set that enables high-speed reading and writing with low power consumption. They manage data blocks dynamically in order to maximize the life of the device. Other features include:
