HP Gives Away Adobe Apps

Co. today announced that it's giving away Adobe InDesign and Adobe
Illustrator with the purchase of certain laser and inkjet printers.
Qualifying printers several models from the HP DesignJet CA and
CP series and the LaserJet series. The offer is part of a new campaign
from Hewlett-Packard called "More for Less." According
to HP, there's no limit on how many qualifying purchases can be
made by an individual, but the offer is not valid on refurbished
units and will take four to eight weeks for processing. Qualifying
printers include:
- HP DesignJet
488CA, a large-format color printer geared for design firms and
ad agencies. It includes a software RIP with Apple ColorSync and
Adobe PostScript 3 and is available in 24" and 36" models. The
24" model costs $2,691; the 36" model costs $3,534.
- HP DesignJet
2000CP, 2500CP, 2800CP, 3000CP, 3500CP and 3800CP, a series of
photo-quality, 600-dpi, large-format color printer for graphics
professionals. Some models require an external RIP. They print
on a wide variety of media ranging in width from 36" to 54"
and can print lengths up to 150'. They range in price from $8,564
to $16,275.
- HP Color
LaserJet 4500DN, 8550GN and 8550MFP, all 600 DPI color printers
with ImageREt 2400 technology. The low-end 4500 prints 4 PPM in
color and 16 PPM in black. The other models print 6 PPM color
and 24 PPM black. They range in price from $3,999 to $10,500.
Qualifying
purchases must be made between June 15 and Aug. 15. For more information
