Xerox's recent acquisition of Tektronix has produced a new model in the Phaser line of color laser printers. The new Phaser 750 does not replace the 740, but Xerox has dropped the price of the 740 to an estimated retail of $1,495.
The 750 offers increased printing and processing speeds and more realistic color quality, according to Xerox. A new, faster 200 MHz processor delivers 16 PPM in black and five PPM in color. Its resolution is 1,200 DPI. It ships standard with 10/100 Base-T Ethernet, native USB and parallel ports. It also includes Tektronix's PhaserLink printer management software that provides a customizable Web interface for printer administration, automatic e-mail notification of printer status, usage profile monitoring and online troubleshooting. It also comes with one year of free onsite service and a three-year guarantee.
The Phaser 750 is available now for $2,295. For more information, visit http://www.xerox.com.
