Ricoh Adds Network Printing to Aficio
850

Ricoh
has updated it flagship digital imaging system, the Aficio 850, with network
printing capabilities. In addition to the new controller, the 850 will
also be offered in two new configurations, including a Fiery network solution
and a MicroPress configuration. MicroPress is a short-run, on demand digital
imaging system or production printing of monochrome documents. A single
MicroPress can drive up to 12 Aficio 850 machines.
The Aficio 850 offers 85 page per minute printing, and two can be connected to split the task of outputting print jobs and copies. Fully configured, the Aficio 850 offers six paper sources for a total capacity of 7550 sheets.
The Fiery option will be available in the third quarter. The MicroPress configuration will be available in June. The base Aficio 850 sells for $48,500. For more information, visit http://www.ricoh.com.
