Ricoh has updated its line of Aficio digital imaging systems with the introduction of the Aficio 350e and 450e—both enhanced versions of existing 350 and 450 models. The new versions sport base configurations of 20 MB RAM, 4 GB hard disk space and 600 DPI scanning resolution. The new systems also add network scanning capabilities and faxing from the desktop over a network.

The 350e offers network printing speeds of 35 pages per minute, while the 450e prints at 45 PPM. Support is standard for PCL6/5e with an option for Adobe Postscript3. Enhancements allow for duplex printing, digital sorting, file archiving and image rotation. Booklet printing and collation and stapling can be handled from the desktop. Other enhancements include:

  • A Super G3, 33.6 Kbps modem;
  • Digital Fax option;
  • Two-sided jobs up to 11" x 17";
  • Two 500-sheet paper trays and an additional 50-sheet bypass;
  • Multiple-position stapling and optional three-hole punch capabilities on the 450e with the SR730 Finisher option.
