PlateMaker 3 Widens CTP to 340 mm
Expands
capabilities of Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46

Senior
producer
Xante
Corp., Mobile, Ala., has
introduced a wider plate option for its PlateMaker 3 computer to plate
solution. The new option allows for plates up to 340 mm wide, up 10 mm
from its previous maximum. The new option is designed for users of the
Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46. The company says it expanded the plate size
in order to help economize the CTP process and address the trend of shorter
print runs and an increase in the number of jobs requiring spot color.
Xante's 340 mm option
also adds a Pin Bar Alignment feature, which makes it possible to print
adjustable vertical lines at the top of the plate, facilitating more acurate
punches on each plate for users printing two- and three-color work.
Other features include:
- 1,200 x 1,200 DPI,
upgradable up 2,400 x 2,400 DPI
