Samsung Electronics, San Jose, Calif., has introduced a new line of high-end flat-panel monitors that pull double duty as stand-alone televisions. The SyncMaster 150MP and 170MP flat-panel monitors can accept dual input from video and computer sources and display pictures in windows within windows.
The SyncMaster 150MP has a pixel pitch of 0.297 mm and offers a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768. The SyncMaster 170MP has a pixel pitch of 0.264 mm and allows for a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024. Both displays offer analog RGB and CVBS video input, S-video and television antenna with connections for cable TV viewing. The built-in TV turner allows for a high-contrast, stand-alone TV that supports worldwide TV and video signals, including NTSC/PAL and SECAM. Both MP displays are also U.S. Closed Captioned enabled.
The SyncMaster 15" 150MP is currently shipping for $1,287 (estimated street price). The 17" 170MP is shipping for $2,599 (estimated street price). For more information, visit http://www.samsung-monitor.com.
