Ricoh Adds Network Scanning to Imaging Platform

models offer optional multi-line functionality

Ricoh
Corp., West Caldwell, N.J., says it's beefed up its Aficio line of imaging
systems with network scanning capabilities.
The option allows for image capture and distribution over a network with
600 DPI copying speeds of 22 PPM on the Aficio 220 and 27 PPM on the Aficio
270. Other features of the Aficio line include:
- A scan once, print
many feature that allows users to store images up to 20 MB for multiple
printings;
- Three seconds per
page faxing from a workstation on a network;
- Optional multi-line
capability for sending and receiving documents simultaneously;
- A digital fax option
(ISDN) that allows for 1.5 second document transmission;
- PCL 6/5 compatibility
with an option for Postscript 3;
- A 3,100-sheet paper
capacity with optional accessories including a 50-sheet, auto reversing
document feeder, a shift sort tray for high-speed sorting and an optional
1,000-sheet finisher.
