Real Networks Updates RealPlayer for Mac

Real
Networks, Seattle,
has released an update to its RealPlayer multi-media viewer for the Macintosh.
The company says the software offers improved performance and better access
to the Real.com Message Service, which enables users to be notified in
RealPlayer 7 when entertainment or breaking news content is available.
Other new features include:
- New look and feel;
- Enhanced media navigation;
- Manual resizing of video content;
- Enhanced full-screen playback;
- Real.com top 10 New Movie Trailers;
- Real.com New Music Releases;
- Real.com Video of the Day;
- Real.com Music Download of the Day;
- Real.com Breaking News Flashes.
In addition, Net2Phone's I.P. Telephony Software will be bundled with some versions of RealPlayer 7, enabling RealPlayer users to experience Net2Phone's PC-based Internet telephony services. For the Mac, the new requirements to run the software include: Mac OS 8.1 or later; 32 MB RAM; Virtual Memory turned on, set to 64MB; 604 PowerPC (200 MHz or better); 14.4Kbps modem (audio only); 28.8Kpbs modem (video) Internet Connection; Microsoft* Internet Explorer 4.01 or later or Netscape 4.05 or later.
