Nikon
will release a new model in its line of Coolpix digital cameras in April.
The new model, the Coolpix 990, offers a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 (3.34
megapixels). It will come bundled with Altamira Genuine Fractals limited-edition
software. Genuine Fractals can save files in a format that allows for
changes in the image size with little loss of image quality. Altamira
claims that an 8" x 10" 200 DPI image can be resized to 20"
x 27" with no loss of image quality.
