Miami,
Fla.-based Deneba Software has released the first update to Canvas 7 since
November. The update is being offered as a free download to registered
users of Canvas 7 via the company's Web site. Canvas 7.0.1 includes an
enhanced HTML export tool, which supports older browsers and offers two
options for formatting output: HTML 4 with table layout and HTML 4 with
cascading style sheets (CSS/2) layout. The HTML 4 with table layout will
automatically arrange page elements into HTML table formats. Other enhancements
include:
- An auto-updating
feature, which automatically searches for new downloads and installs
them without user intervention;
- One-step painting,
which eliminates the need to define a bitmap area before beginning to
paint;
- Global channel
resolution adjustments, which allow the user to alter the resolution
of all channel masks within a document;
- Smart selection
of objects, which allows users to click behind the transparent areas
of objects to select objects behind them.
