Adobe Clarifies InDesign Upgrade

Adobe Systems Inc. has formally clarified its position on InDesign upgrades by posting its policy in the customer service section of its Web site. After numerous customer complaints about having to pay for an upgrade to version 1.5, the company made the following changes:
- Anyone who purchased InDesign at the full price on or after Jan. 1 will receive a free upgrade to version 1.5 (plus the cost of shipping).
- Anyone who purchased InDesign 1.0 at any price one month or less from the announced release of InDesign 1.5 will receive a free upgrade to the new version (plus shipping costs).
- Those who purchased InDesign 1.0 at the promotional price more than one month before the announced release of InDesign 1.5 will pay $99 for the upgrade.
- You must provide a dated proof of
purchase, in addition to your serial number, when you place your order.
