Bakery Digital Sound & Vision houses six studios in addition to the edgeX graphics suite, covering musical scoring, composing, sound editing, foley, ADR, mixing and more. The new wing has a state-of-the-art all-digital sound design/mixing studio and two digital edit suites, along with the original wing's three music and sound recording studios, one of which can fit a 20-piece orchestra along with a Baby Grand and another fully self-contained in a house. "I wanted flexibility without compromising certain acoustic qualities I expect in a signature recording space," states Waterman. "Clients are very pleased with the results we achieve here."

"We're developing projects together, specifically design and post for independent film, DVD, and promos," states James of the two studio's collaborations. "It's a huge challenge, but hugely exciting, too. Having diverse backgrounds helps; Karen's is in design and architecture, mine is as a filmmaker. So we think we bring a unique design perspective to our projects along with an irreverent sense of humor."

Judith James brings a Masters degree in production from USC's School of Cinema TV to the edgeX partnership. She has experience in film and graphics as both an editor and designer. Karen Numme has design and architecture degrees from Parsons School of Design and Harvard University. Both have worked extensively for corporate clients, production companies and television.
"Our long-term goal is to bring in more projects where we are creatively involved in concepting the pieces as well as the design and execution stage," states James. "We also want to leverage our existing strengths by developing more joint projects with Bakery Digital."

In addition to Bakery Digital Sound & Vision's animated logo, identity system, signage and website design, edgeX studio's credits include: Wink Martindale Productions/Century Hill Recordings identity; "That Was Elvis to Me" CD and label design, "onthebus" interstitial design, and an animated logo for Mindfactory Films.
Bakery Digital Sound & Vision's credit list includes 1999 Special Olympics, 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics, "Doug's First Movie," "King of the Hill" and "Cats Don't Dance."
