SEPTEMBER
13, 2000 The Live Effects Live Emboss places an emboss effect on text and objects. The Emboss palette allows users to specify contrast, offset and steps, as well as the angle of the light.
Live Explosion generates an explosion effect by cloning and resizing an object. The butterfly example below contains 200 clones of a single object. (Watch this effect with multiple objects. The default is 200 clones, which can soak up memory and cause slow render times when too many objects are selected.) In Live Explosion, users can set the total number of objects (original plus clones), radial deviation, spread and clone size variation. You can also choose to keep all the clones at the same angle.
Live Frame transforms an object or text into a frame for a border effect. The objects are repeated in a rectangular pattern whose dimensions can be set as a percentage of the size of the object. Users can also set the number of objects per side, the angle of the cycling, the corner radius and the corner offset.
