LiveMotion Tip 3
To make an object appear in a completely different position, such as the other side of the screen, without any "in between" animation, just make sure there's only a single frame between the two points in the animation. In other words, at 12s, 6f Jupiter is off the left of the screen. At 12s, 7f it's at the right side of the screen. The alternative is to keyframe your object around the outside of the screen, which is just too much work and causes curve problems when your positioning is in Bezier mode.

Complex Animation in Adobe LiveMotion [page 3 of 9]

2. Although I want my titles to be transparent at frame 0 and fade in to 100 percent opacity, I do not start by changing the object's opacity to 0. I make sure it's at 100 percent, and then I double click on the object in the main timeline (the Composition Timeline). This calls up the object's Time-Independent Timeline. Here is where you set the opacity for the fade-in transition. With the Time-Independent Timeline set at 00s, I click on the stopwatch labeled "Object Opacity" underneath the Transform drop-down item. I then set the object's opacity to zero using the Opacity palette.

Then I move ahead in the timeline one second (to 01s) and crank the opacity back to 100 percent. I then return to the Composition Timeline by selecting the pull-down menu in the Timeline window and choosing "Composition."
