APRIL 05, 2004 Weekly Download: Custom Shapes for Adobe Photoshop, Series 6
Download and installation This week's brush collection is compressed using Stuffit from Aladdin Systems. The Stuffit Expander is a free utility for Macintosh, Linux, Windows and Solaris that can be downloaded here. Chances are you already have it on your system. If not, download and install it. You can also configure your browser to decompress files of the ".sit" type automatically using Expander. Download: Nagel Series 6 Shapes (1.3 MB) Once you download the brush file (NagelSeries6Shapes.sit), double-click the file to decompress it, or drag it over the Stuffit Expander application icon. After the file is decompressed (NagelSeries6Shapes.csh), move it into the Custom SHapes directory in your Photoshop folder (/Adobe Photoshop/Presets/Custom Shapes). ![]() Then launch Photoshop. Open the Preset Manager, and click on the flyaway menu at the top right. There you'll find the new shapes collection, which you can install simply by selecting it. After you select it, the new shapes will appear at the bottom of the list of available shapes. ![]() Note that custom shapes can hog system resources, so it's a good idea to keep as few as possible active at any given time. You can delete individual shapes in the Preset Manager, if you wish. If you have any questions, be sure to visit me in our Adobe Photoshop forum here. And remember, you can find all of our previous download by visiting our Features archive. --Dave Nagel Prev 1 2 Related sites: Related forums: [an error occurred while processing this directive]
