JANUARY 26, 2004 Cinema 4D Double Bevel
Adding color There is a very easy way to add color to the Caps and Rounding faces of your Extrude NURBS. Remember "C" for Caps and "R" for Rounding. Why? Because when you break down the surfaces into separate UV sets, Cinema 4D already sees the various faces as a basic formula. The front face is the first cap, or C1, the back face is the second, or C2. The front face rounding is R1. If you have a fillet on the back side, it will be R2.[an error occurred while processing this directive]For broad patches of color on your model, you can simply assign each texture a set selection in its "Selection" variable. Select the assigned texture and open its Attributes menu. Type in C1 to apply the texture to the front face only. To apply the texture to the rounding(fillet) only, type R1. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Although it may seem like a lot to go through for a simple "M," this is a foundation for all of your extrusion NURBS. Have fun, experiment. There's more to Extrude NURBS than we can cover here, and this is only a fraction of what the NURBS family has to offer in Cinema 4D. We'll cover more in future installments.
