JANUARY 22, 2004 Customizing iDVD 3, Part 5
The Property List Editor alternative One last note. If you prefer to use the Property List Editor application to modify these values, the process is similar. The advantage is that each of your menus is neatly organized, and it will be easier to locate which menu is which becasue the sub-categories list the assets by name for each of the menus' background movies. You just need to locate the settings. To do this, expand the "Root," followed by "Menu folder," followed by "Base info," followed by "Children." There you'll see you menus listed numerically.[an error occurred while processing this directive] ![]() Expand the first one, then "Base info," then "Inspection property list." The item labeled "Asset, when expanded, will show you which asset is assigned to the background to help you identify which menu you're looking at. ![]() Scroll way down, and you'll see another parameter labeled "MotionDuration." The last value listed there is the actual duration, which you can modify to your heart's content. ![]() Then simply repeat this process for al of your menus, save the file, and you're set. So that's it. If you have any further questions, drop me a line or visit me in one of the forums listed below. Next time around we'll start working on modifications for iDVD 4.
