Related to the Blend Exposures is the Average function. This allows you to add up to 30,000 images to Optipix's internal buffer and create an average from them. This can help eliminate noise from images or even improve image quality and depth for applications like generating high-quality images from video stills. And, like all of the filters in the Optipix collection, it supports 16-bit images. If you want to enhance the definition of your image, Optipix includes several filters that can help you accomplish this. Edge Enhancer works specifically to bring out the details on the boundaries between light and dark within your image, and you can choose to enhance either the light or dark edges, or both. It also provides noise suppression.[an error occurred while processing this directive] ![]() And if you want to sharpen up all of the details of your image, Optipix includes Safe Sharpen, a one-step sharpening filter that help preserve color while enhancing edges and minimizing color noise. ![]() On the flip side of Safe Sharpen and Edge Enhancer are Safe Median and Power Median. Safe Median is designed to remove noise while also preserving image details. ![]() Power Median actually allows you to specify the neighborhood pattern for the application of the median and offers options for applying median to light or dark areas, or both. ![]() And finally, there's also the Nudge filter, which allows you to nudge layers (including the background layer) in sub-pixel increments.
