Download and installation
Synthetik Studio Artist 2.0 is a Macintosh-only program. It runs in Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. After you download the "NagelSeries7PaintPatches.sit" file, decompress it using Stuffit Expander. If you don't already have Stuffit Expander, you can download it free from http://www.aladdinsys.com/downloads/index.html.

Download: NagelSeries7PaintPatches (228 KB)[an error occurred while processing this directive]The unstuffed folder will be called "NagelSeries7PaintPatches." Place this folder in your Presets folder inside your Studio Artist 2.0 folder. You can place them inside the Defaults folder or inside the Dave's Alpha Enabled Presets folder. Either way, they will appear in the appropriate subdirectory in the Presets panel within Studio Artist after you quit and relaunch the program.

These Paint Patches are mostly designed to be used as interactive brushes rather than as automatic brushes because they use the MultiPen mode to add the bristle and clump effects. They can be used in AutoDraw mode, but they won't look as good, and you'll have to perform additional modifications in the Path Shape parameter to get them to draw correctly that way.

If you have any questions about these presets or other Studio Artist issues, be sure to visit me in the Studio Artist forum here. For more information on Studio Artist, visit Synthetik's Web site at http://www.synthetik.com. And remember, you can find all of our previous downloads for Studio Artist, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Expression and other applications here.
