Keyframing paint in After Effect 6.0
Now there are tasks that paint can perform that were previously left to animated splines masks only. I'm not going to write about rotoscoping here. Although it is possible to perform with paint, it's better left for a separate piece.[an error occurred while processing this directive]The first part of the plugin is the naming convention. The strokes you make to the source footage are named consecutively: Brush 1, Brush 2, Brush 3.... Of course, you can change the names of the brush strokes to a more organized description of the stroke.

The Mode of each brush can also be individually edited. If you want one brush to apply some color as an overlay, while another applies a multiply transfer mode, here's where you make it happen.

The shape of the stroke is keyframable. Actually, the shape is keyframable through target splines. The shape doesn't keyframe through Bezier handles. Instead, you can set keyframes for shapes that AE will morph between. These shapes can be copied from bezier masks or imported from Illustrator files.
