Text Wrap in Adobe Illustrator
Creating wraps for placed bitmap and EPS graphics

3. After we enter our text, we're going to use the Pen tool to draw an area around our graphic that will represent our text wrap. You can use any of the drawing tools available in Illustrator, provided your final object has no open ends or stray paths. And make certain (in case you're working out of order here) that this new object is in front of your text. (Choose Object > Arrange > Bring to Front, if necessary.) I've filled my object with black so that you can see it more clearly.

Notice the flaws in the example above? This is easily cleaned up with the Direct Selection tool. Just grab on the handles of your wrap object, and move them around until the text properly wraps around the object. Et voila!
