JULY 09, 2003 Customizing iDVD 3, Part 4
Can you guess what this setting does? That's right, it sets the red, blue, green and alpha values for your highlight colors. You can enter the values for any RGB color you wish (the first three numbers, separated by commas). If you don't know the numerical values of the color you want to use, open up an image editor, and look at the values there. In Photoshop, you can mouse over a color with the eyedropper tool to see its RGB values or find your color and its numerical equivalents in the Color Picker. The fourth value listed in the RGBA sequence is the alpha value. the number 255 represents a completely opaque color. Adjust that number downward to make your highlight more transparent. (For example, a value of 127 is the equivalent of a 50 percent opacity.)[an error occurred while processing this directive]Now, what happens if you're working with a theme that uses the default yellow highlight? In this case, you won't see a highlightColorRGBA parameter in the property list. So you have to add one. To do this, select the Root property, and then click the "New Child" button at the top of the interface. This will create a new parameter labeled "New Item." ![]() Change the name of the item to "highlightColor RGBA" (without quotes). Make sure the class says "String." And then enter the numerical value of the color you want the theme to use. ![]() Save your file, and you're done adjusting the highlight color. Note: If you're making this change for an existing project, you may not see the changes immediately. Launch iDVD 3, open your project, switch your project to a different theme, and then switch back to the theme you have modified. Your changes should appear then.
