JULY 16, 2003 Adobe After Effects 6.0
Last year I finally cracked the Motion Tracker and Stabilization portion of After Effects and was cranking out many a motion-tracked file. But there were still some limitations. In After Effects 6.0, Adobe has revamped the Motion Tracker to make it easier to understand. Not only has the interface been improved, the entire tracking method has undergone improvements to make it faster and more accurate.
Want new plug-ins? Adobe has those, too. The plug-ins that were part of the AE 5.5 Power Pack are now standard in the Professional version, and there are a few new ones in the package as well. Liquify allows you to distort the image with brush controls much like Photoshop (see a pattern forming?). Some funky effects can be created with Liquify that could only previously be done with Mesh Warp. Since it is “brush” based, you don’t have to fuss with vector control points and the like. I like this plug-in, and even if you don’t use it a great deal for your pro work, you’ll probably use it when you need to relieve stress and need to Goo up images. ![]() Related sites: Animation Artist Animation Supplement AV Video Broadcast Newsroom Content Mastering Corporate Media News Creative Mac Design Supplement Digital Animators Digital Game Developer Digital Media Designer Digital Post Production Digital Producer Digital Video Editing Digital Webcast DTV Professional DV Format DVD Creation Film and Video Magazine Film Imaging Hollywood Industry Mac Supplement Presentation Master Presentation Supplement Production Supplement Siggraph News The WWUG Related forums: [an error occurred while processing this directive]
