Adobe InDesign Tip: Text Wrap
Using channels and paths to define a custom wrap

After you've drawn your path, go to the Paths palette in Photoshop, choose the flyaway menu and select "Save Path." Then save your image.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]Place the image in InDesign. As before, choose the "Wrap Around Object Shape" text wrap method. But this time around, select they Type as a "Photoshop Path."



Then, when the option becomes available, select the name of your path, as seen below.



And that's it. The path I created within Photoshop with the Freehand Pen tool becomes my text wrap path.
