JUNE 06, 2003 Weekly Download: Border Effects, Series 1 This week we head into a new area in our ongoing series of weekly downloads: border effects for Adobe Photoshop. There are, of course, limitless possibilities for these sorts of effects, and I intend to produce many more complex effects in future installments in this series. This week we start off with 18 fairly simple effects for producing ragged edges, soft vignettes and other effects, all of which are editable, so you can modify them to your liking. There are 18 effects in this collection, presented in the form of Photoshop Actions, ranging from rough edges to vignettes to matte effects. They're designed to be applied to any sort of image and will not affect the underlying background layer. And you can adjust the color, size and various other parameters simply by modifying individual steps in the action sequences.
