Create another solid. Name it Electron 1 and make it the same size as the composition. In this case it doesn’t matter what color you select.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]Use the Oval Mask Tool again and draw out a circular mask that is slightly larger than the Nucleus layer.

To create the speeding electron, apply the Vegas effect to the Electron layer. In the Effect Control Panel, change the Stroke setting to Mask/Path. This allows you to use any mask on the layer as the path for the Vegas effect. Select Mask 1 from the Mask/Path property.

Twirl down the Segments property and set the number of segments to 1, and adjust the length to around .35 That will give us a very strong “head” of the electron, and a short wispy “tail” for effect.

The last Vegas control that needs to be adjusted is Renderings. Twirl down this control and change the color to light yellow and the width to 14 pixels.
