Finally, we'll have to move back to our MAIN COMP, and select MASTER LAYER. Be sure that the Displacement Map is set to BUMP_PC, and you should see the following:

The effect isn't quite strong enough. So on the Displacement Map variables #3 and #5 "Max Displacement," we'll set higher values.



As your precomp's LUMINANCE values move, so too does the displacement. SHOCKING! You can get all sorts of interesting results with various plugins, including COLORAMA and unending third party developments, as well as footage.
