MAY 23, 2003 Weekly Download: Studio Artist Image Effects, Series 1  Aside from rotoscoping and painting, Synthetik Studio Artist also offers a wide range of filter-style effects, similar to plugins you might find in programs like Adobe Photoshop. But unlike Photoshop, Studio Artist provides a basic foundation for building effects from a number of parameters known as Image Operations, which you can then save out as plugins. This week's free download is a collection of 25 such effects that I've put together.Our effects this week focus on surface generation. You can apply these to any image, and they will then apply different surface styles to the image, such as embossing with color, similar in some ways to the Bas Relief filter in Photoshop; surface shining, similar to effects you can get from Flaming Pear's SuperBlade Pro; and general texturization.[an error occurred while processing this directive]Here are some examples from the collection.
