Synthetik Studio Artist 2.0 is known in large part for its painting features. But in addition to this functionality, the program is also a powerful tool for rotoscoping, particularly in the area of applying painterly effects to video and still images. The program ships with quite a few presets for accomplishing these effects, including natural media emulation for paint and sketch styles. To these we now add our own sketch styles for your painterly enjoyment.The Paint Patches
Our collection this week includes 28 individual Paint Patches (or presets) for applying sketch effects to photographic images. Well, maybe "sketch" is too narrow a term. It also includes presets for pointillizing images and emulating graphic pens, such as the Rapidograph. All of these Paint Patches can be applied interactively or automatically and adjusted using various input parameters, such as pen pressure and tilt.
