Action Restar determines the way in which particles are handled when using the Action button to paint strokes. Using "None," particles will draw normally. Using "New Start Point," they will appear as dots in the image.

And, finally, there's the Region Draw Mode. Here you'll find many more individual options, providing a number of ways for Studio Artist to fill the regions you specify. The two options are Fill Type and Region Spacing. Region SPacing determines the amount of space between each fill element, which will vary with the fill type. But, in general, the higher the number, the further each element will be from the next. Here's an example using the Ellipse Hatch Fill Type with two different spacing options.

Region Spacing set to 10.

Region Spacing set to 30.

But how this spacing works out depends heavily on the Fill Type. Rather than try to put each one of the Fill Types into words, I'll simply provide illustrations of each type. Each of the examples below uses a spacing of 15, except where noted.
