Configure Fink
Once you've installed Fink, you have to perform a few quick steps inside the Terminal to get it to work properly. You can't, as yet, install Film Gimp without following this process, and you need to make sure you follow these steps exactly.[an error occurred while processing this directive]1. Launch the Terminal application. It's located in /Applications/Utilities.

2. When it opens, type pico .cshrc with a space between "pico" and ".cshrc."

3. Hit the Return key. This will open up a weird-looking text editor within the Terminal window.

4. Type the following: source /sw/bin/init.csh with a space between "source" and "/sw." DO NOT hit the Return key yet.

5. Type Control-O. (Yes, that's Control, not Command.)

6. Hit the Return key.

7. Type Control-X (again, Control, not Command).

8. Quit the Terminal application.

Fink is now configured for basic use, and you can move on to the next steps.
