But unlike the Channel Mixer, RedEyePro allows you to apply the adjustment interactively and preview the results as you go. It lets you zoom into your image, move it around and interactively adjust the size and location of the adjustment area. It also provides a closeup of the portion of the image being adjusted so that you can view the details. ANd it provides an undo function so that you don't have to commit to your changes.

If this isn't good enough for you, there's also an "Expert" mode. The Expert mode includes the same features as the Novice mode but adds a few as well, including the ability to pick the color to be removed using a color picker tool. It also adds a resizable paintbrush for precision work (and work on non-circular areas) and an undo brush.[an error occurred while processing this directive]

The main purpose of the Expert mode is to allow users to eliminate colors other than pure red, and it works well for the most part. However, the results aren't always desirable. This is because, unlike Photoshop's Channel Mixer, RedEyePro doesn't provide options for adjusting the result of the color removal. In Channel Mixer, for example, you can lower the Constant value to produce a darker result than you would get from a straight 0/50/50 mix. So a brightly glowing animal pupil, for example, can be made black (while retaining highlights), rather than just desaturated. The examples below (using my own demon-dog, Nala) show this.
