With the keyframes pasted for either the Lens Flare or your smaller square solid, you will notice that they duration for the motion path is only 2 seconds long. What happens if you wanted the motion to last the entire 5 seconds?

Select all the keyframes in the layer by clicking on the appropriate layer control (PB select Flare Center, Standard select Position). All of the other keyframes selected will stretch proportionally to keep the same relative time.

Paths and masks are much easier to create in Illustrator than After Effects. Being able to copy and paste these masks and paths can be a real time saver when creating motion graphics for your next project.
