Download and installation
Synthetik Studio Artist 2.0 is, of course, a Macintosh-only program. It runs in Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. Download the brushes here. After you unstuff them, place them in your Presets folder inside your Studio Artist 2.0 folder. You can place them inside the Defaults folder or inside the Dave's Alpha ENabled Presets folder.[an error occurred while processing this directive]

Either way, they will appear in subdirectories in the Presets panel within Studio Artist after you quit and relaunch the program.

To use them, simply select one and start drawing. Many will also work with the automatic "Action" function as well, though some don't look very good that way. Note that these presets work best with a Wacom tablet and take advantage of all of the input options available on supported graphics tablets.

If you'd prefer, you could also place the entire folder into your Default preset folder or into the "Dave's Alpha Enabled Presets" folder, both of which were included on the Studio Artist 2.0 installation CD. If you do this, all of the new Paint Patches will appear in one single folder called "Nagel Series 1 Paint Patches." Finally, you could also install each folder separately into whichever directory you'd prefer.

Once again, you can download the Nagel Series 2 Paint Patches file here. You will need the Stuffit Expander utility, which is probably already on your computer. If it's not, you can download it free from http://www.aladdinsys.com/downloads/index.html.

If you have any questions in the meantime, be sure to visit me in the Studio Artist forum here. For more information on Studio Artist, visit Synthetik's Web site at http://www.synthetik.com.
