NOVEMBER 22, 2002 Weekly Download: Title Safety Generators for Photoshop 7
Downloading, installing and using the actions Even though this particular download is fairly small, I'm still compressing it using Stuffit just to prevent any possible corruption that might occur during transmission, thereby protecting your work. In order to unstuff this action set, you'll need to download Stuffit Expander, a free utility from Aladdin Systems for Macintosh and WIndows. You can download the Expander at http://www.aladdinsys.com/downloads/index.html. [an error occurred while processing this directive] After you've downloaded the Expander and the action set (at the end of this article), decompress the set using Expander, or you won't be able to use the actions. To use the action set, place the file called NagelSeries1Actions.atn in your action presets folder (Adobe Photoshop 7/Presets/Photoshop Actions). Relaunch Photoshop, and you should see the set in the flyaway menu in your Actions palette.
If not, choose "Load Actions" from the flyaway menu and hunt for the action set on your hard drive. Once you've installed the actions, you'll see them in your Actions palette for all future documents. To run an action, simply click it once and then hit the Play button.
NOTE: Be sure to save your work before running any actions, as you might not have enough history states set in your preferences to be able to undo the action once it's run. All of these actions in this set will create a new layer for the safety guides, which you can then toggle on and off in the Layers palette.
All set? Good. You can download the NagelSeries1Actions here: http://images.digitalmedianet.com/2002/11_nov/features/download8021122/NagelSeries1Actions.atn.sit. If you have any questions, be sure to visit me in the Adobe Photoshop forum listed below. And remember to save your work first! I don't want any e-mails complaining that one of these actions ruined your work!
