OCTOBER 04, 2002 Weekly Download: Custom Brushes for Photoshop 7
To install these brushes, download the set (at the end of the article) and unstuff the brush file using Aladdin Expander (http://www.aladdinsys.com). Move the file (called "Nagel Series 1 Brushes.abr") into your Brushes folder within your Photoshop presets folder. Open Photoshop, expand your Brushes palette and choose "Nagel Series 1 Brushes" from the list of available collections.

If it doesn't appear in the list, simply choose "Load Brushes" instead, and locate the file on your hard drive.
To use the brushes, open your Brushes palette and click on Brush Presets. The new brushes will appear at the end of the list. You can also access the brushes from the normal Brushes pull-down menu in the top tool options bar when you have a brush tool selected. You can move the brushes up to the top of your brushes list--as I know you'll want to do--using the Photoshop Preset Manager. (Open the Brushes palette, click on the flyaway menu and choose "Preset manager.") With most of these brushes, you'll want to work on a large canvas. You can scale the brushes down, however, using the Master Diameter setting in the Brushes palette. And, of course, you can change the brushes' behavior in the Brushes palette as well. Good? Good. Now you may download this collection of 20 brushes.
