Color Dynamics
All of this is fine and good until, of course, you begin to paint strokes over your existing strokes, at which point you might just as well be painting with the old, flat paint tools. But here's where Color Dynamics comes in. [an error occurred while processing this directive]

With Color Dynamics, you can create the feeling of a wet flow of paint that varies in color over the course of your stroke. You can jitter between the foreground and background color, hue, saturation and brightness. You can also set the amount of all of these jitters and also adjust the "purity" of the color to provide more or less variation.

This is the key to Photoshop's new paint engine. With the rest of the dynamics parameters, you can create some nifty effects. But with Color Dynamics, Photoshop begins to approach a look of natural media, which is what the program has been lacking lo these many years.
