Adobe Launches Studio Web Site
New service offers subscription-based collaboration
Adobe has unveiled its new Adobe Studio Web site, which is designed to provide services, tools and techniques for designers. It's currently in its beta phase, and there's no word on when it will go into full operation.
Adobe Studio comprises two main functions—a collaborative environment, which is subscription-based, and a free community area. The subscription service, known as Adobe DesignTeam, allows users to collaborate on projects between team members, clients and third-party developers. It's designed for Web and print professionals. Features include:
- Securely share and manage files
- Organize and track team communication
- Review files and Web sites and automatically collect, track and collate reviewers' comments
- Securely deliver files to customers and service providers while controlling and tracking the distribution.
The Adobe Studio free community area provides networking opportunities for designers, as well as articles on Adobe products.
Membership in the Adobe Studio community is free. The DesignTeam service is free during public beta review period. After the public beta period, DesignTeam will be available for a monthly rate of $39.95 per user, with discounts for teams.
