Waves Updates Plugins, Announces Renaissance Collection 2 Processor Bundle
Latest releases add features, get bug fixes
Waves Ltd. announced the release of the Version 3.2 update on their family of audio processors for Native and TDM platforms. The company has also released the Renaissance Collection 2 Processor Bundle, a collection of the company's audio plugins for Native and TDM systems.
The Version 3.2 family update adds several new features and bug fixes. It can be freely downloaded to registered Version 3.0 and 3.1 users and is available for Macintosh and Windows.
According to the company, substantial improvements in system stability were implemented on both Mac and PC platforms. The Mac versions of both MAS and VST shells offer more solid system performance.
Version 3.2 can be downloaded for free and without additional authorization to registered Version 3.0 and 3.1 users. Legacy Version 2.x and new users can upgrade directly to the latest Version 3.2 by trying out a free 14-day evaluation.
The Renaissance Collection 2 Processor Bundle includes three new plugins: Renaissance VOX, Renaissance Bass and Renaissance DeEsser. Renaissance VOX combines compressor, limiter and gate functions to bring vocals and solo instruments to the front of the mix while pushing out unwanted noise. Renaissance Bass refines Waves' MaxxBass technology to allow bass frequency extension through speakers with limited low frequency response. Renaissance DeEsser offers an adaptive threshold that provides a more unified DeEssing and more natural sounding results.
The Renaissance Collection 2 will be available through Waves dealers worldwide in August. The Renaissance Collection 2 is offered at a special introductory price of $200 for the Native version and $400 for TDM (for Digidesign DSP hardware with a Macintosh host).
