Princeton Graphics has introduced a 17" LCD monitor priced at $899. The
new LCD17 offers 24-bit color at a maximum resolution of 1,280 x 1,024,
a contrast ratio of 400:1 and a brightness level of 250 cd/m2.
The LCD17 measures 3" deep and weighs 19.8 pounds. A tilt base is integrated
into the LCD display. It also offers Princeton's PreVu onscreen display
and Coloright for balancing color. The monitor's viewing angle is +/-
60 degrees horizontal, 45 degrees up and 70 degrees down.
"LCD monitors have been traditionally targeted at the corporate market
because of their high price tag," said William Wang, president of Princeton,
in a press release. "Now, it is time for every computer user to enjoy
the benefits of LCD monitors, and Princeton is pleased to be the first
to make this state-of-the-art display technology affordable and available
to everyone."
The LCD17 is compatible with Mac and Windows machines that include a 15-pin
D-sub connector. It's available now. For more information, visit http://www.princetongraphics.com.
