Human Software Releases Textissimo 3.0
New Photoshop plugin adds 750 effects

Plugin developer Human Software today released version 3.0 of its Textissimo filter for Adobe Photoshop and Corel PhotoPaint. Textissimo works around a virtual engine made of approximately 25 basic operations, such as emboss, Gaussian blur, gradient, color matrix, wind, noise, textures and other operations in combination with up to 28 alpha channels. Operations can be edited and combined to create new effects on text and graphics.

Textissimo 3.0 comes with a library of more than 750 effects, such as Chrome, Glass, Bubbles, Fire, Ice, Lava, Smokes and others. Version 3.0 supports multiple layers of effects within a plugin. And text and paths controls have been extended, including path warping and text flow.

Textissimo is, as its name implies, geared toward text manipulation, including direct support for TrueType fonts. Effects work inside and around paths or typefaces, though it also works on bitmap data.
