Hitachi Cuts Price on Plasma Monitor
42" model foes for $10,000

Hitachi has reduced the price of its 42" plasma display panel, the CMP4120HDU. The model now sells for $9,995 and includes a new extended warranty. The CMP4120HDU provides a 160-degree viewing angle and a contrast ratio of 700:1. The CMP4120HDU can also be mounted either vertically or horizontally. It features a native resolution of 1,024 x 1,024.

Hitachi has also extended upon the price reduction of the CMP4120HDU by offering a new extended warranty. Now Hitachi's entire line of Plasma Displays, including both the 42" and 37" models, includes a two-year limited warranty for parts and labor.
